In my book Technomancer, there is a lot of reflection about how people in real life behave. This book tells us that people are often greedy and skeptical to trust others. Through the actions that the characters and just people in the background do, it shows how people in cities are often caught up in their busy lives and don't pay attention to detail, unless something really big is going on. Also, the book's characters show how deaths or disappearances are not easily forgotten. Many people want revenge for anything that may have happened to the people they care about.
Other things that reflect on how people really act is how panicked people become when they are in a place that they are not used to. They often feel very uncomfortable in a strange new environment and aren't sure how to deal with being in a different place. Another thing that reflects how real people act is how even the calmest of people show surprise when they see something completely unexpected. They often lose their composure and show weakness. Sometimes they even make decisions that they regret later on.
